Adventures in Music (AiM)
March 15, 2014 | 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. | Downtown Billings

Get ready for a musical adventure with the Billings Symphony! Parents are invited to bring their kids to participate in our FREE Adventures in Music Day. In addition they will have the opportunity to try out various instruments graciously provided by Eckroth Music, Galt String Gallery, Hansen Music, and Kirk House of Music during Instrument Petting Zoos.

No tickets required, just your passport. Passports will be sent home with children from school. You may also download your Adventures in Music Passport here or pick them up downtown the day of the event.

9 – 10:15 a.m. | MSU-B, Alberta Bair Theater, Hart-Albin Building

  • Listen and watch musical workshops by members of the Billings Symphony

9 – 11 a.m. | Babcock Theater

  • Meet Billings Mayor Tom Hanel
  • Watch demonstrations by artists Margie Harpold, watercolor; Susan Lyons, oil painting; and Linda Walters, jewelry maker
  • Watch local Billings musicians perform! Adam Copeland, guitar; Jake Goldburg, keyboard; and Aaron Carling, drums

 11 – 11:45 a.m.

  • Intermission: take a break and enjoy the St. Patrick’s Day Parade downtown

11:45 a.m – 1 p.m. | Alberta Bair Theater

  • FREE Dress rehearsal: Russian Days & Arabian Nights with the Billings Symphony
  • See local fourth-grade artwork projected behind the orchestra during performance

 1 – 5 p.m. | Yellowstone Art Museum

  • Visit the Yellowstone Art Museum! Use this passport for free admittance into the museum for you and your family
