Adventures in Music

Adventures in Music (AiM)

March 16, 2013 | 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. | Downtown Billings

Area children in kindergarten through sixth grades are invited to join the Billings Symphony downtown for AiM workshops and demonstrations, which will be held at the Alberta Bair Theater (ABT), the Babcock Theater, the Montana State University-Billings (MSU-B) Downtown Campus, and the Hart-Albin (D.A. Davidson) Building.

Parents are invited to bring their kids to participate in round-robin sessions of mini-workshops led by Billings Symphony musicians. In addition they will have the opportunity to try out various instruments graciously provided by Eckroth Music, Galt String Gallery, Hansen Music, and Kirk House of Music during Instrument Petting Zoos. Participants will also attend a portion of the Billings Symphony’s dress rehearsal for Saturday evening’s performance of A Royal Celebration, which includes music from British composers, featured at the most recent Royal Wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton to Mozart’s beloved Coronation Mass.

The fun begins at 9 a.m. with sign-in and passport pick-up at the Alberta Bair Theater! Download your AiM Passport and be ready for your musical adventure with your Billings Symphony! An AiM locations map is included on your passport.
