“The Korngold violin concerto has been a favorite of mine, ever since I first heard Jascha Heifetz’s recording of it when I was in my early teens. Korngold spent much of his life as a Hollywood composer, and the violin concerto has wonderful cinematic quality to it — it is filled with drama, dazzling virtuosity, and heart-wrenching beauty. It is such a fun piece to perform, and I’m really looking forward to playing it in Billings with Alastair.” ~Stefan Jackiw (Jah-Keev)
